A by-product of sunflower oil production (pomace) and therefore particularly resource-saving. Unlike conventional protein isolates, it is much more natural and contains a record high amount of magnesium.
More about the ingredients...
Coconut blossom sugar
Coconut blossom sugar provides a pleasantly fruity sweetness and, due to the low degree of processing, still contains minerals, vitamins and its self defining flavours. Even better, it does all this without noticeably affecting your blood sugar levels.
The heart of the protein supply. It contains all eight essential amino acids and helps you to maintain and build muscle. In addition, it naturally contains a lot of iron, which reduces tiredness and contributes to normal oxygen transport in the body.
Is the ground endosperm of the Indian guar tree and binds water excellently due to the fibre it contains. This makes the consistency of the shake thicker and smoother.
Acerola contains an incredible amount of vitamin C and for that reason should not be skipped out on. One of our products alone covers more than 30% of the daily vitamin C requirement. Why is vitamin C so important? It contributes to the normal function of your immune system and increases iron absorption.
Have you tried these already?
All our products are free from palm oil, soy, gluten and lactose. However, the production facility where our bars are made manufacturers other products besides ours. For this reason, we can't be 100% sure whether the other recipes contain soy, and that the machines are 100% soy-free. However, the cleaning is done very thoroughly and consistently, so only the smallest amounts could be detected each time during regular analyses.
I have a nut allergy, can I still drink nupro?
Yes, neither of the nupro varieties contain nuts. That said, all nupro varieties can contain traces of soy, milk protein and gluten.
How much protein is there in nupro?
One serving of nupro (40g protein powder) contains 20g purely plant-based protein. The protein content is significantly lower compared to other protein powders. The main reason for this is that we only use vegan & natural ingredients - therefore any chemically concentrated protein isolate or animal whey protein is not on our ingredients list.
What is your packaging made out of?
Our packaging consists of home-compostable cellulose film and paper. That's it!
Where should I dispose of the packaging?
The best option for the disposal of our wrappers is the home compost, where it decomposes after an average of 6 months, depending on the environmental conditions. If you don't have compost, conventional methods such as the recycling or residual waste are the best options as no harmful substances are released when our packaging is burnt!
